About Us

Strategies for Agro-Pastoralists Development (SAPAD) is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the livelihoods of agro-pastoralist communities in Kenya through sustainable agriculture, environmental conservation, education, and economic empowerment. SAPAD enhances food security by supporting small-scale farmers with organic farming, poultry production, and agribusiness training. The organization also leads environmental conservation efforts, including tree planting, land restoration, and climate adaptation programs. Through community empowerment, SAPAD provides vocational training and entrepreneurship skills, particularly for women and youth. Additionally, SAPAD is committed to improving education and health services by advocating for quality education, supporting special needs learners, and raising awareness on public health issues. Partnering with local and international organizations, SAPAD implements impactful programs that drive long-term change. By addressing key challenges facing agro-pastoralist communities, SAPAD envisions a self-reliant, food-secure, and resilient society where people have the skills and resources to thrive.
